Survival Food – Do I Really Need It?

One of the biggest things that people often forget when it comes to prepping is the fact that they put off buying Survival Food.

Why is that?

The reason people don’t gather survival food

Something that bothers us quite a bit with beginner preppers is that they don’t make buying food for food storage a major priority.

Sure, they’ll gather up some knives, guns and possibly even some extra water.

Yes, that is better than no where.

BUT…

Without food, you won’t last very long.

The biggest reason that people put off buying survival food for long term storage is because of the cost.

They feel that it costs too much to buy and therefore put it off.

But the truth is that your life is worth much more than you might be thinking right now.

The next time you go to the grocery store I want you to look at what you’re buying and calculate up the cost of things you buy each week.

Do this for the next month and tally up exactly what you’re buying, how much it costs and how long it lasts.

Some of the stuff you’re already buying is essential and we know that.

But, some of the stuff isn’t essential. These are the things that you can slowly eliminate and start putting that money towards your survival food storage.

Maybe you grab Red Bulls or Monster Energy drinks at the counter as a quick pick me up each time you’re out shopping.

(This stuff adds up quick)

You can easily replace that caffeine fix with brew at home coffee or tea, which costs a lot less for more.

Most people talk about the Starbucks habit where people are spending $5-$10 a day on coffee from there.

There’s even more money you could be saving.

Sure, you might feel like you’ll fit in more with your Starbucks cup or whatever your current fix is.

BUT, you could simply load your at home drink inside a Starbucks re-usable cup and still keep up that appearance. Plus, we all know your coffee tastes better.

It’s not up to us what you spend your money on. It is entirely up to YOU.

So, if you want to prepare for yourself and your families survival, we recommend keeping track of where your money goes each month and putting some of it aside to get some survival food that will last.

In an emergency situation, you’ll be happy that you have been preparing.
